An extensive collection of reference material, books, magazines and newsletters is held in cupboards and shelves at the Alison Procter Family History Centre.
It includes research, trade and postal directories, atlases, conference
proceedings, branch newsletters, electoral rolls, newspapers extracts, guides and indexes. The collection is particularly relevant to research covering New Zealand, United Kingdom, Ireland, and Australia.
The bound book collection is catalogued under the Kapiti District Library Catalogue (search for genealogy). Books catalogued as being in the Alison Procter Family History Collection, and not marked Reference Only, may be
borrowed by members through the same process that applies to public library books by presenting the items and card credentials at the Issues Desk on the Ground Floor. Borrowing times and rules are the same as those for the public
borrowing system.
